Squall, initially grouped with Seifer and Zell, sees his team reconfigured when Seifer disobeys orders and abandons them; Selphie Tilmitt replaces him mid-mission. Under the guidance of instructor Quistis Trepe, the group halts the Galbadian advance, allowing Squall, Zell, and Selphie to graduate while Seifer fails.
